founder of Achilleas Glass Art & Design (b. 8 March 1985, Bratislava) — Slovak artist, glassmaker and designer.
In my work, I focus on original artworks and interior glass pieces, often combining glass with precious metals such as gold, platinum, and bronze. I also integrate glass with other materials, particularly stone, wood, and metal. In Bratislava, I run a gallery, showroom, and studio.
Life and Education
From 2004 to 2008, I studied Design and Wood Shaping at the Jozef Vydra School of Applied Arts. At the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, from 2008 to 2013, I completed my studies in glass under Professor V. Oravec and in the Sculpture, Object, and Installation Studio under Professor J. Hoffstädter.
I come from an artistic background. My mother is the academic painter Ingrid Zámečníková, and my father, Dimitrios Sdoukos, is connected to Greek cultural tradition, which, together with ancient and Byzantine art, is reflected in my own artistic practice.

It contains the impenetrable eternity of tiny grains of sand transformed through melting into clarity, strength, delicacy, and resilience all at once. Fragile sheets of glass appear to risk destruction through their vulnerability, yet even when they break, they remain present in their tiny fragments, once again perhaps resembling grains of sand.

I play guitar in the rock bands Revoltage and Karpina. I am actively involved in creating musical ideas, developing complete concepts, and composing solo passages. I work closely with guitarist and music producer Henry Tóth. Together, we create event concepts that connect art, music, and networking.
Glass and music represent an unconventional combination that has captivated us. I created a functional audio system made of glass, bringing together original design, modern technology, and precise glassmaking craftsmanship. I continue to develop this project in the form of “playing paintings” designed for specific spaces, with an integrated audio system.
I am fascinated by the connection between image and sound — their ability to influence our perception and open a space for limitless possibilities of imagination.
Since 2020, I have been actively involved in aviation while continuing my studies with the aim of obtaining higher qualifications and certifications. In the beginning, flying was the fulfillment of a childhood dream, but over time it became a passion that fully captivated me and became an inseparable part of my life.
Flying allows me to perceive the world from a different perspective — from above, one gains a deeper understanding of its interconnectedness and realizes how small and insignificant the differences that often divide us truly are.
